Shirley I. Clark Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

SHIRLEY I. CLARK Shirley I. Clark, 77, of Athens, PA formerly of Owego, NY, has gone on to meet the Lord and was reunited with her parents on September 15, 2021 following a difficult battle with cancer. She is the daughter of the late Bruce and Isable Magee; and also predeceased by her brother, Ed Magee. Shirley is survived by her children, Melvin Ackley, Kevin Ackley, Brian Ackley, and Colleen Gousby; grandchildren, her pride and joy, Miranda Ackley, Amanda Ackley, Raymond, Victoria Ackley, Vivian Gousby, and Jennifer Cappa; great grandchildren, Maleya and Mason. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of another great grandchild. She also leaves behind her dear friends, including Louise Ackley and Beverly Wolf. Shirley graduated from Blue Ridge High School. She worked for Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory for many years while raising her children. She later went to BCC and became a medical transcriptionist. She worked for Tyler Memorial Hospital for almost 15 years. Shirley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was always active with a church where she lived. She was very enthusiastic about her faith and the Lord which gave her peace and comfort. All who knew her loved her calm demeanor, respected her words of wisdom, and sense of humor. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Friends may gather from 1-2, prior to the service. Inurnment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery.
