MICHAEL P. SHANLEY Michael P. Shanley, 86, of Oakland Township, PA entered into rest on July 3, 2022 at his home, following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his first wife of 30 years, Doris Irene Shanley; his second wife, Lisa Washburn Shanley; sisters, Mary Rizo, Cecelia Ivory, Liz Shanley, and Kathy Scro; and brothers, Frank, Ed, and John Shanley. Michael is survived by his sister, Rose Perry; his brother, Tom Shanley; his step children, Stephanie (Casey) Rush, Donald Crandall, Marian (Dale) Baker, Zana Cina, Donna (Tim) Casterline, Don Carroll, Tiffany (Shawn) Ray, Crystal (Drew) Bray; numerous step grandchildren including, Justin, Alayna, and Sophia; many nieces and nephews including, Shannon (Victor) Acosta, Tommy (Sheri) Shanley, Andrew (Patty) Scro, Ken Scro, Ed (Michelle) Scro, and Kathy (John) Gow; and many extended family members. Mike was a proud veteran with the United States Army and serviced during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a trackman for the railroad, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and also the American Legion Post #86. Mike enjoyed mowing, gardening, fishing, ice fishing, hunting, and his Genny Lite. He was active, lived a full life, and was ready for the next project or adventure. Military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the American Legion Post #86.
