MaryLou Decker
September 19, 1947 - September 19, 1947
MaryLou Decker, 74, of Hallstead, PA entered into rest on February 28, 2022 with her loving family by her side. MaryLou is survived by her beloved husband of almost 55 years, Jim Decker; a daughter, Sheila (Rick) Cooper; five grandchildren, Brandon, Brannon, Taylor, Ty, and Joshua; two great grandchildren, Levi and Alice; siblings, Dan (Darleen), Amber Jayne (Jim), Carole (Stuart), and Betty; and many nieces and nephews. MaryLou was predeceased by her cherished son, Jimi and survived by his fiancée, Doreen. MaryLou was a customer service representative at Peoples National Bank. She brought a peaceful calming presence to her work and could walk people through the most seemingly complicated paperwork. MaryLou was quick to use her brilliant smile, which reflected her heart and concern for others. She was generous and insisted on helping others. She was a member of the American Legion Post #357 Auxiliary. MaryLou was known for her consistent commitment to attending all activities her family members were involved in, bowling, softball, concerts, graduations, absolutely everything, and also the biggest, loudest cheerleader present. She was deeply devoted to her family, which extended beyond just blood relatives. She leaves behind a void that will never be filled. At her request, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the American Legion #357, P.O. Box 429, Hallstead, PA 18822.
