Mary E. White Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

MARY E. WHITE Mary E. White, 89, of Great Bend, PA passed away peacefully on August 5, 2015 after a brief illness in Wilson Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Floyd L. White for 38 years. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Myrna Weaver, brothers, Gerald, Arnold, Harold, Lloyd, and Morgan Beavers, and a sister, Arlene Roney. Mary is survived by 6 children, Junior (Janet), Betty Jean (Richard), Diane (Richard), Eugene (Ruth), LeRoy (Carol), Vickie (Pete); 17 grandchildren, Wendy, Dan, Brian, Chris, Lori, Tracy, Kelly, Dustin, Dawn, Christy, Jamie, Chris, Brett, Noelle, Michell, Scott, and Danny; twenty five great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Small; a brother, Donald; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a great Christian lady. One of the most caring, thoughtful people you would ever meet. She volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels, was very active in the Great Bend Community Center, and devoted to the United Methodist Community Church, Great Bend. She was known to make the best rolls and bread. Mary offered hugs to everyone she met and strangers soon became friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the United Methodist Community Church. Inurnment will be privately held in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday morning from 10-11, at the church, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may take the form of a donation to the United Methodist Community Church, The Community Center, or to the Great Bend/Hallstead Volunteer Ambulance.
