    Marie J. Cordell

    August 28, 1944 - December 7, 2020

    MARIE J. CORDELL Marie J. Cordell, 76, of Hallstead, PA entered into the arms of Jesus on December 7, 2020. She is the daughter of the late Nelson Stone and Etta Oakley Jamison; also predeceased by her daughter, Tammy Hadlick; brother, Melvin Stone; a sister, Marilyn McConnell; son-in-law, Charles Biesecker; and a great grandson, Chev Wilmot. Marie is survived by her children, Jackie (Tom) Ayers, Shelia Cordell, and Cassandra Biesecker; seven grandchildren, Thomas (Corrine) Ayers, Felecia (Shaun) Wilmot, Branden (Michelle) Wilmot, Damian (Jess) Allard, Crystal (Chris) Miller, Harley (Adam) Miller, and Autumn (James) Knight; 14 great grandchildren, Taylor, Alexandria, Jaiden, Jayne, Daniel, Oliver, Caydance, Alexia, Ellie-ann, Sapheriadayn, Ada, Arielle, Victoria, and Chevelle; two sisters, Peggy (Jerry) Yeomans and Mary Lou (Dennis) Mudge; two brothers, Nelson Stone and Francis (Linda) Stone; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marie loved to quilt, crochet, and make crafts and ceramics. She was devoted to serving others and formerly worked as a nurse’s aide; in hospitality, owning and running several different restaurants. Marie cherished any time spent with her family, especially trips with Mary Lou to Lancaster. She was a grandparent to many at Blue Ridge School District. Marie was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Hallstead, PA, even when she was in pain. Her parting leaves a deep void, which will never be filled. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, Hallstead, PA.
