Lucille P. Darrow

LUCILLE (BEARDSLEY) DARROW Lucille P. Darrow, 98, formerly of Hallstead, PA passed away on October 7, 2021 at Meadowview Senior Living Center, Montrose, PA. She was born October 30, 1922. She was married to Robert N. Darrow, who passed away March 25, 2006. She was also predeceased by her parents, Robert H. and Anna W. Preston; her four brothers, George, Bob, Leon, and Gail; two sisters, Marguerite and Esther. Lucille is survived by two sisters, Ruth and Georgieanna; her three children, Lucille (Don) Harvey, John (Nancy) Beardsley, and Linda Scott; five grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church, New Milford, PA. For 20 years, she was the co-owner of the Town Restaurant in Susquehanna, PA and was well known for her delicious pies. She then went to work for Dobb’s Country Kitchen for many years. Lucille held many jobs over her lifetime and retired in 1987 from Family Farms. She was a member of Habitat for Humanity and a board member of Old Mill Village in New Milford. Lucille was an accomplished quilter and crafter. She loved to play Bingo and Dominos with all of her friends at the Emerson Apartments. She will be dearly missed by many. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
