JOHN C. CHAUNCEY John C. Chauncey, 79, of Hallstead, PA was called home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2022. He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Judy; a son, Chad C. Chauncey; step son, Kip A. Travis; step daughter, Nanci L. Travis; grandchildren, Haley Chauncey, Nicole (Todd) Coulard, Kelsea Hermick, Morgan (Gabby) Hermick, Brien Travis, and Korey (Bella) Travis; his pride and joy, great grandchildren, Kennedy and Jack Coulard, Eli and Killien Hermick, Lilly Travis; a brother, Roger (Joan) Chauncey; a sister, Marilyn Swavola; several nieces and nephews; and his companion dog, Lucky. He was predeceased by his parents, John R. and Pauline Chauncey; and a brother, Paul Chauncey. John was a skilled crane operator and employed with Gorick Construction for 35 years. After a short trip to the four corners of the USA on his Harley, he went to work for Peter Grayson Enterprises. He enjoyed his Harley and owned motorcycles from the age of 16. His favorite trips were to the Bahamas with wife Judy and niece, Judy 2. He was in the Army with service during Vietnam as a radar technician. He was a lifetime member of both the Hallstead American Legion Post #357 and the V.F.W. Post #6223. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. Spring interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery.
