Ida M. Hanyon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

IDA M. HANYON Ida M. Hanyon, 88, formerly of Hallstead, PA was called home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2022 and reunited with her husband, Charles Hanyon in Heaven. She was also predeceased by her first husband, William Rudock; her parents, Thomas and Hester O’Brien; a brother, Donald O’Brien; and six children, Linda Hanyon Capwell, Mark Rudock, Robert Rudock, Richard Hanyon, Douglas Reigles, and William Hanyon. Ida is survived by her children, Richard Rudock, Larry (Mary) Rudock, Gary (Pauline) Rudock, Annie Rudock, Susan Rudock, Shirley (Jim) Bishop, Anna (Carl) Kauffman, Pam Oleniacz (Greg Maxey), Bessie Rozell, Lyda (Jim) Martindale, and Chuck (Charlotte) Reigles; a special nephew, Ronald (Candie) Hanyon; 50 grandchildren; 70 great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Potts; two brothers, James (Mary) O’Brien and David (Janie) O’Brien; a sister-in-law, Janice O’Brien; 11 nieces and nephews. Ida enjoyed her work at USAssemblies, on the farm, and in the grocery store, she and Charles owned. She was a very kind person and never said a bad word about anyone. Ida was kept busy raising 16 children, caring for chickens, gardening, driving the milk truck and operating machinery while on the farm, and running her paper route. She was small in stature, but nothing stopped her from accomplishing her various jobs that she loved. Ida also enjoyed fishing with Charles. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. Hallstead, PA. Friends may call from 1-3 prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be made in New Milford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barnes-Kasson Hospital, 2872 Turnpike Street, Susquehanna, PA 18847.
