Marian E. Ulco

Marian E. Ulco, 94, died peacefully with family at her side after a short battle with cancer, at The Courtyard Assisted Living Facility in Yuba City, CA on July 13, 2015. She is survived by her son Floyd White Jr (Janet), her daughter Debra Fahs, grandchildren Wendy Connolly (Mark), Brian Weaver (Nicole), Lorie Westgate (Michael), Christopher Weaver (Kim), Daniel White, great grandchildren Brad Weaver, Cassidy Weaver, and Kaizer, Maryn, and Keira Westgate, and many nieces nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Nina and Fred Bulson, siblings Leland, Harold, Ethel, Cecil, Lena, and Eathel, Her loving husband of 40 years Oscar Ulco, and her beloved daughter Myrna Weaver. Marian resided locally in Great Bend PA and Conklin, NY for most of her life, and recently stayed near her daughter in California. She and Oscar had a vacation home in Bradenton FL, and traveled much of the United States in their motor home. They also traveled to England and Europe, and she traveled to Hawaii with her daughter. She and Oscar enjoyed many winters in Florida and Marian remained close to her sisters throughout her life and had many friends that shared her love of gardening, sewing, golf, bowling, and travel. She would often be found tending to her home and flowers, and could be seen mowing her own lawn up until age 91. She was always “on the go” and met many challenges along life's way with hard work, determination, and courage to over come them. Quit was never in her vocabulary. She had a very full and exciting life. Marian loved fast cars and some may remember her days as a champion Powder Puff racer in the 1960s. This helped instill a love of racing in her grandchildren and many nights were spent at the track cheering for those Weaver boys Brian, Chris, and Brad. She was their greatest fan. Arrangements are under the direction of YeisleyTuttle Funeral Home in Hallstead, PA. Viewings will be on Sunday, July 19 from 2-4 PM, and on Monday July 20 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday July 21 at 11 AM, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hallstead. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Conklin Fire Department.
