Lionel O. Bradley

Lionel O. Bradley, 77, of Hallstead, PA, passed away on June 14, 2023, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford, CT. He was born in Owego, NY, to the late Lionel and Leila (Thomas) Bradley. Lionel was predeceased by his wife, Valerie G. Stone, just two short months prior to his own passing. He referred to her as “Dolly, the love of his life”. He had a brief battle with a highly aggressive form of cancer. At the time of his passing, Lionel was in the care of his loving daughter, Jennifer L. (Bradley) Rhoden, and son, Charles S. Rhoden Jr. and two grandsons, Lukas C. Rhoden and Nickolas C. Rhoden of Trumbull, CT. Lionel was known to many as Buster, and to others, as Buck. He had many friends from grade school, previous co-workers as well as those who shared his love of hunting, fishing, nature, woodworking, Harleys, gas engines, doodle bugs and old cars. He would help anyone in need. He would rarely call upon others to help him. He had a high expectation of character to those around him. He held himself to the highest standards in life as well, always questioning if he had made the “right” decisions. He loved his family deeply and was a fierce provider. He was a machinist by trade and eventually ran his own company called B&B Machining. It would be a challenge to find another man as hard working as Lionel was. Lionel leaves behind five children, Scott (Bridget), Todd (Catherine), Wendy (Walt), Jennifer (Charles) and James. Lionel also leaves behind many grandchildren to include Colton, Brayden, Adeline (Scott), David, Christina and Tyler Morris (Todd and Catherine), Michael and Bradley Reynolds (Wendy), Lukas and Nickolas Rhoden (Jennifer and Charles), Trinity and Leila (James). He also leaves behind a sister Leitha (Shaylor), niece Lisa and Willie (McIntyre), nephew Clifford (Shaylor) and Henry and Debra (Hines), their children Lillian and Aaron (Reardon), and Lowell (Hines) as well as Lillian’s children Emma and Findley (Reardon). Per Lionel’s request, there will not be any services.
