JOHN WELCH On October 20, 2024 the world lost a cherish man who left an indelible mark on all who knew him. John Welch passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at home, at the age of 65. Born August 20, 1959, John lived a life of love, passion, and dedication. John was the beloved son of the late Alberta and Lloyd Welch; his late step father, Jack McKeeby; and also predeceased by his brothers, Ronnie Welch and Lloyd “Donnie” Welch; a nephew, “Fat Boy” Donnie Welch; a sister-in-law, Shelley Smith; and his father-in-law Jim Heaman. He shared his life with his best friend and fiancée, Bobbi Jo Heaman, whose support and love were constant in his life for 32 years. He was a devoted father to his children, Justin Welch and Bri, Shania Welch, and Natalie Welch, who were the pride and joy of his heart. His grandchildren, Kolten and Anastasia brought him immeasurable happiness and were the light of his life in his later years. John is survived by his siblings, Bonnie Brigham, Debra Fitch, Larry Welch and Lorraine, Joel Welch and Sandy, Candi Barnard and Rick, and Rhonda Ralston and Derek; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and especially missed by his fur babies, Sahara, Sky, and Darla. John served his country honorably with the US Army, a testament to his commitment and courage. After his military service, he worked in a quarry. Finishing his career driving a truck over the road. John enjoyed hunting and building derby cars with his son and buddies, Justin, Ryan, Jim, and Steven. John’s legacy is one of resilience and kindness. His passion for building model cars and star gazing, reflect a man who appreciated both the intricate details and the vast beauty of life. His early talents in painting and lettering cars hint at a creative spirit that thrived in bringing beauty and personality to everything he touched. In keeping with John’s final wishes, there will be no public services. Those who wish to honor his memory are encouraged to do so in their own special way, gazing at the night sky, taking a moment to appreciate the beauty in simple every day things. “As we say goodbye, let us remember him as a man who not only touched our lives, but made them indefinitely richer.”
